Alumni stories

Phillip van der Merwe
VP Growth and Marketing, JourneyApps, United States / LLL 2014
Living in LLL was a highlight for me during my time at Stellenbosch University. The unique residential setting allowed for me to get to know my peers and engage on topics outside of the classroom, and better equipped me for life post Stellenbosch.

Irene Kim

LLL gave me the opportunity to form an incredibly diverse community within an environment that could often feel monolithic. My experiences there helped form me into the person I am today and helped to develop people skills which have served me well in my professional life.

Dylan Swigelaar

LLL was a place I could easily call home. A place that instilled a lot of leadership skills during my involvement with the program. LLL was a safe space for battle of ideas.

Maxwell Mlangeni
Research, Forester, South Africa / LLL 2018-2019
LLL was an amazing opportunity to share a space, in fact a home, and experiences with a vibrant group of people I would probably not otherwise have had the chance to meet. It was a wonderful way to expand my network of friends and add an extra dimension to my personal relationships, my education, and my time at Stellenbosch University.
